DESCRIPTION:

FIRST DAY: BASE CAMP

​

08:00 - 08:30 am Pick up from the lodge to go to our warehouse and check the equipment of each one, then we will board our vehicle (4x4), heading to the Misti volcano on the Chiguata road, up to 3400 m.s.n.m. Approx., (1 hour ½ of road) place where the car leaves us. After acclimating to the altitude we start the ascent to the base camp for an average of 5 to 6 hours through hilly and sandy terrain. Arrival at the base camp 4600 m.s.n.m. place where the camp rises and from where you can see the whole city Arequipa, dinner and overnight in tent.

SECOND DAY: CUMBRE - AREQUIPA

Early in the morning, breakfast 02:00 - 3:00 am. Departure from the base camp towards the summit, this ascent lasts approx. 5 to 6 hours by road of sand and volcanic ash, until you reach the summit of the volcano 5825 m.s.n.m. from where you can appreciate the craters of the volcano, as well as the Chachani, Pichupichu, the Salinas lagoon and the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca. The return to the base camp lasts 2 hours approx. Descent towards 3400 m.s.n.m. where the 4x4 car waits for us to return to the city of Arequipa - lodging.

 

RECOMMENDATIONS: it is necessary to bring mountain boots, flashlight, batteries, gloves, mountain passes, sunglasses, sunscreen, 5 liters of water per person, snacks.
